I'm really nervous. Is that normal?
It is one hundred percent normal to feel nervous when booking a boudoir session, before your session, and during your session. Boudoir is a vulnerable art form. You're bearing your mind, body, and soul through the art of intimate portraiture. But, don't worry, I will be here with you every step of the way - from beginning to end. After we start your session, you'll begin to relax and loosen up (you also get to see me roll off the furniture and make stupid faces, so that'll help you relax too lol). How do I know how to pose?
Pshhhhhh, I gotchu! Don't worry about posing, I've got you covered in that department. I demonstrate EVERY pose and walk you through it (from head to toe) before I even ask you to do it! I know all of the tricks to create the most flattering angles for you, no matter what shape or size you are.
Do your boudoir sessions include hair and make-up?
We offer complimentary professional hair and airbrush make-up for all of our Boudoir Sessions! Our make-up artist will go over your desired look, the colors you'll be wearing, and what you're most comfortable in! Then she'll get started and make you feel like the boss ass bish you are!
Am I allowed to bring alcohol to help loosen my nerves?
If you are over the age of 21 and present your ID at the start of your session, we allow you to take a shot or have a glass of wine/champagne before the start of your session!
Do you provide the wardrobe?
Yes! If you want to skip the shopping and "shop" our client closet on the day of your session, you totally can! We offer sizes XS-5X and have tons of options for each size!
I want to share these pictures with my partner, but I don't want loose prints floating around. Any ideas for the best gift?
This is a very common concern and we totally understand! We recommend placing an order for one of our Boudoir Albums! This is a much more discreet way to display your images and your album comes in a super cute matching box! We also offer folio boxes, which are prints in a cute little glass box so they can be easily tucked away. For more information on our products, just send me over an email!
What should I bring to my boudoir session?
For our Boudoir Sessions, we recommend bringing about 5-7 outfits, but that can be any combination of outfits you already have or options available in the studio. If you'd like to bring a prop to incorporate your partner's interests into your Boudoir Session, just ask! I have tons of ideas for just about everything.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes! You can absolutely bring a friend! We allow one fem identifying guest to accompany you to your session, no partner's or cis male guests will be permitted in the studio. However, please note that if your guest begins to make you or our staff uncomfortable at any point during your session, they will be asked to wait in their car until your session has concluded.
Will my session be with a male or female photographer?
Our team is composed of all female entrepreneurs, so you will have a female photographer for your session!
Do you do touch-ups?
Yes! We offer skin smoothing and professional retouching on all of your portraits!
Do you do outdoor boudoir sessions?
Yes! We offer outdoor Boudoir Sessions at discreet locations! Some of our favorite spots are in Cheboygan, Mears, and Munising. For outdoor Boudoir Sessions, we would book a hotel room for hair and make-up close to the area we'll be in and then travel to the location we have both agreed on!
Do I have control over who sees my images?
ABSOLUTELY! We will only share your boudoir images if you have given us your written permission to do so. We offer three kinds of model releases. Anonymous - no face. Partial - you pick the images. Full - all of your images. Or, you can choose to not show a single image from your session and that is PERFECTLY OKAY!! Our policy is, no one will even know you were here unless YOU want them to!
I'm not a model - are boudoir photos still flattering even if my body isn't perfect?
Two words - FUCK YEAH! Nobody is perfect and every individual is beautiful and sexy. I myself am covered in stretch marks, scars, and an obnoxious amount of booty acne that I don't wanna talk about - but you know what - I've done three boudoir sessions of my own and I can safely say, each one was the best decision I have ever made.
